Porsche Wants You
In a power move aimed at the male shopper, Porsche Design has opened up a New York flagship, with plans to add 30 more to its stable of six worldwide. The 1,724-square-foot store—decked with plasma screens, high-tech lighting and lots of slate and oak—carries Porsche Design's full product range, including eyewear, luggage, writing instruments, timepieces and smoking accessories. Loathe salesperson banter? There's a system to learn the lowdown on a particular product by placing it on a scan table and watching a monitor. (212) 308-1786, 624 Madison Ave.
