Leave of Absinthe
Curly hair, straight hair, Jennifer Aniston’s hair — people inevitably want the unattainable. Perhaps that’s what continues to make absinthe so inherently sexy: It isn’t allowed. In its truest form, "The Green Fairy" is still virtually impossible to come by. The liquor’s main ingredient — wormwood — actually has healing properties though. So, if you take a walk through beauty product trendsetter store STUDIO at Fred Segal soon, you’re not hallucinating when you see a plethora of Absinthe products. Korres Absinthe Shave Cream uses essential oils and flavonoids extracted from the liquor to prevent roughness. L’Artisan Fou D’Absinthe Parfum employs notes of frozen alcohol and absinthe among other fragrant elements. Plus, DL & Co.’s beyond luxe Absinthe Candle blends anise, coriander, vertiver, mint and, of course, wormwood. Some things are so bad, they’re good. $28-$145, STUDIO at Fred Segal, 500 Broadway, (310) 394-8509
