Carla Bruni was one of the most successful models of the 1990s, walking the runway for all the top fashion houses, from Dior to Chanel to Galliano. She comes from fine Italian stock,and is heiress to the Pirelli tire empire. She got her break aged 19 when Paul Marciano selected her to star in the Guess? jeans ad campaigns. She also displayed a flavor for rock stars, dating Eric Clapton (photographed, with a baby Bruni in 1989) and Mick Jagger—while he was married to Jerry Hall. Ouch! She later did the dirty with Donald Trump.
