The New Air Kiss
On Friday night, the statuesque Kimora Lee Simmons hosted an intimate dinner at Social Hollywood. The enhanced décor—featuring candelabras, oversized floral centerpieces and dangling crystals—could not upstage Simmons or Tyra Banks, who managed to redefine the "air kiss" with pursed lips and a cheek collision (see picture). Of course, this maneuver would never work for women who aren’t the same height. Diners—including Michael Ealy, Garcelle Beauvais, and Djimon Hounsou—nibbled on foie gras and lobster risotto. After the fete, guests headed to an adjacent room to see the new KLS Collection, which included a chic strapless metallic dress and gold lame gown that would make any woman look like an Oscar statue.
