That’s Your Cue

Lauren Merkin’s gold Oscar Cue Card CasesDos, don’ts, tight conciliatory smiles, tearful acceptance speeches—the Oscars are as drama-filled as a Grey’s Anatomy episode during sweeps. Of course some of the theatrics happen after the event when stars are praised and criticized for everything from dress choice to eloquence. Well clutch queen Lauren Merkin is helping the nominees excel in both categories with her adorable gold Oscar Cue Card Cases. Each nominee for best actress and supporting actress has received a version with an embossed phrase like, "Remember Waterproof Mascara," "Don’t Forget to Thank Your Husband," and "Always Act Surprised." And of course there’s a slot for a speech. So these ladies can be the height of decorum and carry something cute too—thank goodness. And thank Lauren Merkin too. For Nominees Only (but look out for similar upcoming business card cases), laurenmerkin.com

I always find it interesting to see what is the latest and greatest out there. For me, the backyard latest and greatest is my thing. The first thing I found was this really cool floating fountain. I found out it will be a part of the GBK Gift Suite given to celebrities. It doesn’t require any installation so any “Joe” can make this one work. With a remote control, you don’t even have to get out of your chair to turn it on. The color photos on their website are impressive. I checked pricing online and they are pretty affordable. Check it out at www.tobafountains.com. Pretty cool stuff. Well, more from me as I search the web and find it.
