The Lanvin Bride: First Peek
A few weeks
ago, we reported that Alber Elbaz of Lanvin had wedding bells on the brain. Here's a sneak peek at one of his bridal looks for spring--gleaned from New York Times fashion reporter Cathy Horyn's excellent blog, On the Runway We like that Lanvin understands the myriad needs of a bride and how her attire must comply. This bubble shift will acquiesce to bear hugs from Uncle Bob and happily dance along to a marathon hora. The glimpse of knee reflects the modern, liberated wife. Oh and best of all, no wasp-inspired corset. You can eat in this dress. Bravo! We do. (The silver ballet flats look fantastic too.)

I wore above the knee- or more specifically AT the knee... but that's because after 15 years of photographing brides - there's nothing about a gown that made me want to wear one - I'd never recommend that choice to others - but for me, I went a little casual - and it was great.
