Red carpet reborn

Yay for the SAG Awards—not only did they rightly recognize Daniel Day Lewis' performance in "There Will Be Blood" as most awesome of the year, they also allowed the star-starved red carpets of Hollywood to savor the sweet spike of a Louboutin heel once again. Cate Blanchett, who is pregnant, glistened in a strapless Balenciaga gown the color of Fool's Gold. Angelina Jolie opted for a diaphanous, marbled brown strapless gown by red carpet newcomer Juliana Cairone, owner of Manhattan boutique Rare Vintage. We saw Marchesa on Nicolette Sheridan (in black) and Rebecca Gayheart (in red). Sandra Oh played prom queen  in a full skirted black and hot pink number, while Ryan Gosling wore a black ribbon on his lapel, in remembrance of fellow actor Heath Ledger.
