Pop Up to Shut Down
Darn, those New York City rents. The beloved Pop Shop, artist Keith Haring’s retail front, has announced it will close in September, due in part to increasing lease costs. Stop in now to stock up on great gifts like T-shirts, office accessories, stationery and toys featuring Haring’s distinct, graffiti-like images (profits benefit the Keith Haring Foundation and various AIDS charities). Here’s to hoping the store’s floor-to-ceiling murals will somehow be preserved. 292 Lafayette St., (212) 219-2784
