Custom Kimonos for Baby (L.A.)
Tortoise in Venice is always adding new handcrafted, clean-lined items to its lifestyle emporium—everything from bookcases in intriguing shapes to porcelain tea sets and bent cedar bowls and trays. The latest addition is a collection of Ubugis, which are traditionally the first kimono mothers make for newborns. The great thing is that the kimono grows with baby just by taking out a few stitches at the shoulder. Choose from the existing collection ($70) or have one custom made ($90). Allow up to three weeks for custom orders. tortoiselife.com
