Hanukkah, Oh Chanukah!

Hanukkah Tasting menu at new restaurant Prime Grill

Well, it’s no great epiphany that in the midst of all the Christmas hoopla Hanukkah is often overlooked—no one can even figure out how to spell it. Entire Adam Sandler songs have been dedicated to trying to change the holiday from redheaded stepchild to blondes have more fun. Well, at least celebrate the Jewish holiday in style at new fancy pants kosher steakhouse Prime Grill, the sibling of which resides in NYC. Following a smash opening party with attendees like Paris and Nicky Hilton, Nicole Ritchie and Colin Farrell (all of whom probably don’t normally keep kosher), from now until December 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. the restaurant is offering a Hanukkah Tasting Menu with Smoked Sable with Fresh Melon & Radish Sprouts, Potato Latkes with Bitter Green Salad Tossed with Roasted Fiji Apples, Cippollini Onions, & Fresh White Truffle Peel, Curried Cauliflower Bisque with Crispy Florets, Plum Glazed Short Ribs With Warm Chestnut Polenta & Sage Oil and Bite Size Hanukkah Soofganiot with Date & Honey Syrup for dessert. So you can toast to the Macabees and the Festival of Lights because at least that we know how to spell. $125, Prime Grill, 421 N. Rodeo Dr., (310) 860-1233
