Elizabeth Hurley Wants You to Think Pink
Although Elizabeth Hurley did spend the day at Saks Fifth Avenue in BevHills on Friday, she wasn't there to shop. Instead, she was there to help fight for a very worthy cause - breast cancer awareness.
Hurley was on hand with author Marisa Acocella Marchetto, whose new graphic memoir "Cancer Vixen," documents her triumphant battle with the disease. The two spent the day signing books and spreading the word. Hurley, who lost her grandmother to breast cancer, made it her mission to try to inform everyone about early detection. "Every woman on their 40th birthday should have a mammogram," says Hurley. "If you know anybody 40 or over, you need to bully them into getting one." To help the cause you can purchase Estée Lauder’s "Elizabeth Pink" lipstick. ($22/ www.esteelauder.com). (M.McNiece)
