What's wrong with this picture?
I received an email with photo attachment from a Brazilian brand called Colcci, and they were very pleased with themselves because "Grey's Anatomy" starlet Katherine Heigl had been snapped on the streets of Los Feliz (my very own 'hood) wearing one of their shirts. Bravo to Colcci, I say!But really, there's something not quite kosher about this photograph. I mean, since when do the dudes of Los Feliz care this much about a skinny blond in sunglasses? Yet here, they look positively stupified, frozen in their tracks, as though they'd seen the Virgin Mary herself. The guy in the middle looks like he might throw up, so overcome is he. Maybe they were stunned by the beauty of her Colcci shirt. Or maybe...someone slipped them a few bucks and instructed them to pretend like they're in one of those shampoo commercials, where the girl with bouncy hair walks by and all the boys fall in love with her.
PS: If you decide to visit the Colcii website, we suggest you turn up the volume on your computer speakers, and throw a dance party—the techno soundtrack is bumpin'!
