The massage therapist who makes house calls is nothing new. But have they ever unfolded an entire steam room with that table? Malibu’s recently opened Tola Life Spa Sanctuary offers just that. Its SpAH (Spa at Home) treatments can include time in a “steam tent,” which is basically a sealed-off camping tent flushed with vapors from a hot-water source (typically a shower). Clients can now have a little detox steam after a deep-tissue massage. Of course such at-home convenience has a price: Be prepared to tack on at least an additional $50, depending on your locale and number of services. tolaspa.com
