Star Light, Star Bright
In L.A. we’re accustomed to a certain type of star sighting – i.e. “Oh look, there’s Kirsten Dunst shopping at Whole Foods!” or “Taye Diggs looks much shorter at Coffee Bean.” With tons of celebrities throwing off heat, it’s easy to forget that the real sparklers are in the sky. Well, the reopening of Griffith Park Observatory this Friday should rectify that situation, reminding us that our landscape is not comprised entirely of facades. Cal-Zen fusion spot ASIA Los Feliz is celebrating the neighborhood’s newest development as well, serving up special Shooting Star soju cocktails with green apple, watermelon, peach, sour mix, and star fruit and a crescent and star-shaped Galaxy Cheesecake with raspberry coulis. For those who prefer their food under the open sky, ASIA is also offering bento boxes to-go with dishes from sashimi to BBQ short ribs, as well as three and four-course picnic baskets that come with constellation maps so you can identify the twinkling lights above.
