Cream Rises
Not that you don’t love ogling Botticelli paintings or work from Picasso’s Blue Period, but—no offense to the masters—you’ve seen it all before. Try something contemporary on for size at Project’s new Rising Artist Series at BLU-82, highlighting artists they predict will have future impact. The series begins tonight from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Yoskay Yamamoto’s "Slanted Vision," which chronicles the meshing of his Japanese roots and American (Santa Barbara) home. Sweet and mystical figures seem to contemplate the artist’s own identity dilemma, while Japanese pop iconography appears in landscapes. Expect cocktails, music and a party to ensue. 2023 Sawtelle Blvd., projectgalleryla.com

Please have someone edit your writing. For example - first line of Cream Rises "work" should be works. Many other mistakes. TKPosted by Trudi | Jan 27 2007 3:00PM
