Walk the Walk

Though New York and Europe may have scoffed, L.A. has become a center for fashion. Rodeo has long been one of the most lauded high-end shopping destinations, attracting tourists by the busload to gawk and snap photos at passing celebrities. Well there will be more than usual to see tonight at the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award event, honoring the late Gianni Versace and his sister Donatella with sidewalk plaques. Rupert Everett will host the evening, which includes dinner, an awards ceremony, surprise musical performances and a live auction of the new Versace Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Roadster benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Guests include fashion forward glitterati like Prince, Elizabeth Hurley, and Sharon Stone. Clearly Rodeo Drive is only getting hotter. Beverly Hills City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Dr.
