Go, Go Geox
Los Angeles is known for its fitness philosophy and almost too-casua
l style so it’s little wonder that Italian wine-maker turned athletic cobbler Mario Moretti Polegato opened his first freestanding Geox store on Beverly Drive earlier this month.
Standouts are his casual men’s and women’s collections perfect for running errands or trails but the true gem is the kids’ collection — mini boots, ballets and decorated sandals co-exist with rugged looking athletic shoes and boys’ sandals durable enough to withstand summer camp hijinx. All footwear feature 
Polegato’s patented perforated outsole and micro-porous membrane that absorbs sweat and releases it from the shoe keeping feet cool and dry and has driven Geox into becoming the number three shoe brand worldwide. Already sold at department stores, Geox is planning an October opening for a freestanding
