With the recent craze about Bratz Pack Dolls, you’d think we actually wanted our children to develop more materialistic values (and bad bedazzled L.A. style). Um, has anyone seen My Sweet Sixteen recently? We seem to be doing just fine in that department. On the other side of spectrum, the man who brought Pokémon to the U.S. presents Bella Sara trading cards, a Scandinavian fad among young girls designed to promote healthy self-image. Now that’s a novel concept. Cards depict images of various horses with mystical names like Starfighter and Shakira and bear positive statements like, "Goodness and generosity create loving energy" and "Believe in your vision and make it come true." Each card also boasts an individual code that allows kids to play with their virtual horses online.
