Smell the Coffee (NYC)
Though this country is filled with coffee drinkers (ahem, addicts), not all caffeine lovers are the same. Some opt for a quick 7-11 cup, while others scoff at that quickie-mart solution while ordering Grande Lattes at Starbucks. Still others look down their noses at chain java junkies, preferring high-end brews from mom and pop cafés. Well the new Nespresso Boutique Bar in NYC introduces yet another alternative. At the first North American location designed by Paris-based architect Frances Krempp, the European brand (known for their high-design/high-function smart single serving espresso machines) offers a Grand Cru full-service espresso bar. And of course frequent visitors can join the Nespresso Club, which offers specialized information and services to serious coffee drinkers. As if there was any other kind. $3.50-$6.50, Nespresso Boutique Bar, 761 Madison Ave., (800) 562-1465
