A feast for the senses
Imagine a store that sold home furnishings by Cappellini, flatscreen TVs by Bang & Olufsen and that housed its own art gallery, Virtu. All that's missing is a bowl of Cheetos and a remote, right?
Minus the Cheetos, that vision is now reality, with the opening of a new 6,000 square-foot concept store and showroom on Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles.
Cappellini, the iconic Italian design firm, works with designers and artists from around the world. The showroom features historical pieces such as the Revolving Cabinet by Shiro Kuramata, and the Proust chair by Alessandro Mendini.
The 1,200 square-foot Bang & Olufsen space features a "media room" where you can chill out with the Danish firm's high-end audio-visual gadgets.
And the gallery space, named Virtu, will feature rotating themed art shows, starting with an exhibition of Raphael Mazzucco's huge resin photographs.
