So wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully pretty
Florals, botanicals, peonies and posies are all buzzwords for Spring, which is why I would like to direct you to the work of artisanal designer Koi Suwannagate. With nature as her muse, Suwannagate creates eminently feminine collections. Her sculptural, one-of-a-kind hand-made garments are often accented with whimsical, nature-inspired touches, like hand-stitched leaves and silk chiffon petals. Her designs are almost...fragrant. Suwannagate created the hand-sculpted roses for a dress in 3.1 Phillip Lim's summer 2007 collection (pictured), and was picked as a finalist for the 2007 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. You can find her pieces at many stores in L.A. (including Barneys New York and Fred Segal) and at selected outlets nationwide. Click here for more details.
