SIGG bottle winner

I asked you to divulge your best green living tips for the chance to win a SIGG water bottle, and your answers ranged from keeping power strips turned off to using waxed paper instead of plastic wrap, and keeping hold of the mountain of paper napkins that takeout joints love to hand out. The winning entry was this one by Amanda, who quite rightly reminds us that any lifestyle change is best taken one step at a time...
Congratulations Amanda! One SIGG bottle comin' atcha!

"My best green living tip - make one change at a time. When it comes to the everyday choices you make, all the products you use, going green can seem overwhelming (and expensive!) It doesn’t have to be an overwhelming – it really just takes making one small change at a time! For instance - over the past year, I've switched to canvas grocery bags instead of using plastic, now use Begley's Best and other safe household cleaners and detergents - even my dog's poop bags are biodegradable. And I continue to make more changes all the time as I learn what other ways I can help and the small changes I can make along the way. :)"

Just wanted to throw this out since this post is all about doing the little things to help green up our lives... Last year I came across the Ideal Bite website which has a daily newsletter that suggest some really simple and cheap ways to make your like just a little greener. It's probably one of my favourite reads each day, and one of the few newsletter I let come to my Inbox. The fantastic thing that sets them apart in my mind is their city-targeted newsletter. I get the San Francisco newsletter and I've been tipped off to awesome little things like a green law firm (seriously!), green salons, and lots of other things all in the San Francisco bay area that I can't quite remember at the moment. They also have New York and LA biter newsletters. These folks helped me discover the many great biodegradable cleaning home products from Method! - idealbite.com
