Solutions for the broken hearted

Alexis Smart, the flower remedy practitioner who counts Robert Plant, Crispin Glover, and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" director/producer Robert B. Weide among her devotees, has come up with a new blend—one specifically designed to mend a broken heart.
Smart's "Wholehearted"™ remedy is based on Dr. Bach Flower Remedies and was formulated to help the heartbroken get through those dark hours (or days, or weeks) following a break up or loss of someone close. The remedy, she says, "neutralizes shock and anguish, getting you off the emotional roller coaster and into a state of calm. It comforts feelings of abandonment, quiets obsessive thoughts and helps you to let go of the past and stop thinking about what could have been. If there is anger, resentment or jealousy, this formula can bring the relief of forgiveness."
Smart, who also counts "Grey's Anatomy" producer Kip Koenig and singers Victoria Williams and Becky Stark among her client base, decided to create the "Wholehearted" blend about six months ago, following what she describes as "an epidemic of dumpings" in L.A. "It was mainly women going through these break ups," she says, "and I realized a formula like this was really badly needed. You know how crazy you feel when you're brokenhearted, especially if you've been rejected? Sometimes it feels like there's no relief. This remedy helped cool them down immediately."
Smart, a former commercial actress who shot campaigns for Pepsi, IBM and Doritos with director Joe Pytka, has been working with Dr Bach Flower Remedies for five years. She's also studying homeopathy. "I'm a born skeptic," says Smart. "Then I started taking the remedies myself, and my life became split in to 'before Dr. Bach' and 'after Dr. Bach'. I couldn't believe how effective they were for me."
Alexis Smart's Wholehearted blend is $25.00 + $2.50 shipping. www.alexissmart.com
