To a Tea
In Hollywood we may meet for coffee or do lunch, but rarely do we partake in cucumber sandwiches, scones and English Breakfast at high tea. The important exception is the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles’ Awards Season Tea Party this Sunday, January 14th at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. The powers that be will be honoring talents from this year’s most exciting films like Adriana Barraza (Babel), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Babel), Brad Pitt (Babel), Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children), Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth), Ivana Baquero (Pan’s Labyrinth), Kate Winslet (Little Children), Penelope Cruz (Volver), Rinko Kikuchi (Babel), Sam Mendes (Jarhead), Todd Field (Little Children), Tom Perrotta (Little Children) and more. This is the perfect occasion for dainty tea dresses (a la Rebecca Taylor), traditional pearls and even white gloves. We’d like to propose our own toast (with jam). Bafta.org
