Film Fete
After a summer of pirates and super heroes, you've gotten used to a tub o' popcorn and a lite movie. Currently your list of flicks to see includes Saw III and The Santa Clause 3: Escape Clause. Boy, you love a trilogy! AFI Fest is offering an alternative to the latest sequel to perhaps Hollywood can reraise its taste level. Celebrating new filmmakers, parties at the Premiere Lounge from November 7-9 have gotten progressively star-studded. Tuesday night's screening brought Marcia Gay Harden, Marc Blucas, Kerry Washington, Gabriel Mann, Joel Michaelly and Mary Beth Hurt to the red carpet, not to mention Brittany Murphy who was unaware of the red carpet scene and had to primp and do make-up last minute. Fans on the sidelines at the Premiere of "Wristcutters: A Love Story" and "Come Early Morning" can expect to see the likes of Ashley Judd and Diane Ladd.
