Street vs. Beach
Call it cosmetic anthropology: when it comes to lip gloss preferences, is there a difference between Santa Monica girls and Hollywood dames? You bet. According to an Apothia-insider at Fred Segal Melrose, DuWop’s pinky Lantana and neutral Wisteria are most popular lately. Across town at Studio at Fred Segal, Stila’s Daiquiri and Pina Colada Summer Lip Glazes are most popular. Clearly, the girls on the eastside want bigger pouts, while westsiders opt for au natural nude shades. There’s also been buzz around town about a new Hollywood Lips collection, which includes Hydrating Night Balm, Sweet Sugar Scrub and Soothing Day Relief, for those who want to take their lip service to the next level.
