Death by Fashion (L.A.)

Melanie Pullen’s “Half Prada”’Fess up: You spend every extra dime you have on Balenciaga bags. Perhaps it’s time to branch out to other fashionable pursuits. Ease into the chic world of photo collecting by leveraging your designer know-how with Melanie Pullen's High Fashion Crime Scenes series. The photographer’s show, sponsored by Elle, opens today at BevHill’s Ace Gallery, featuring images of murder scenes styled like fashion shoots with wares from Gucci, Chanel, Bulgari and more. Her work doesn’t come cheap (pieces start at five grand), but those dozen Manolo heels in your closet weren’t exactly reasonable either. 9430 Wilshire Blvd., (310) 274-3030
