Louis Vuitton's Cherry-Blossom Nights

Is Wong Kar-wai's new film co-starring Louis Vuitton, too?
An article in the IHT notes that the director of My Blueberry Nights, which opened Cannes, incorporated some signature designer pieces--a key chain, handbags, and a cherry-blossom dress from the Spring 2005 collection--into the road movie, starring Norah Jones and Jude Law. It is the luxury brand's first collaboration with a film, as the company allowed the Japanese  Chinese director to pick and choose from Vuitton's vast inventory. Um, yum.
One can't help but wonder if Harvey Weinstein's new acquisition (the house of Halston) will be making an above the line appearance in the company's future films? Will the Olsen twins demand that they be outfitted onscreen in their own label, once their new collection debuts? Clearly, brand synergy could become as tangled as a pile of string bikinis.
Can anyone name who designed the wardobe for American Gigolo?
