Design Within Reach
Art and design share lots of crossover, especially recently as L.A.’s two major museums presented shows examining fashion and construction. (Last chance: LACMA’s "Breaking the Mode" closes this weekend). Well, L.A.-based French artist Guillaume Wolf has made a career of blurring the line between fashion and art, designing concepts for Lacoste, Vogue Paris, Isabel Marant, Balmain and for Parisian hotspot Colette. His new line Luxury Darkly includes duos of limited edition t-shirts and signed watercolor prints entitled "Cobalt 1 & 2" based on the notion that actually buying art and being close to artists is today’s highest luxury. So you can wear art, be art and own art all in the same act. Magnifique! $300, luxurydarkly.com
