Bye bye Polaroid instants

For those of you who have enjoyed living in the now with Polaroid, I hate to break it to you—but the end is nigh.
The company is discontinuing production of all Polaroid cameras and film, so it can focus on the digital market.
Lame-o!

This means it now sucks to be a casting director, model agent or nightlife photographer, many of whom have relied on the instant gratification of Polaroid for years.
Fujifilm is now the last remaining manufacturer of instant film in the U.S. Polaroid has enough stock to continue selling through 2009, we hear. The time to panic buy is now.
