Are You Invited?
The image of Karl Lagerfeld filling his plate at a buffet on the Lido deck is unthinkable. Still, the Kaiser of cool — and designer at Chanel — will debut his cruise line here in Los Angeles this Friday night at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica airport. Scuttlebutt has it that about 300 or so celebs, press people, and assorted and sundry VIPs are invited to this runway show and after-party. Rumor also has it that about 300 or so people who weren’t invited are on the social warpath. I’ll be there and I promise to report back on all the delicious front row fun. I’ll even raffle off my gift bag next week. – Monica Corcoran

Hi, How do you get invited to these events? I fragrance modeled Lagerfeld in NY. I am an actress and former model of almost 20 years since 14 1/2 the only way I modeled and only way got invited anywhere was when I was fundraising 36 million dollars worth. I haven't met Lagerfeld. I need some invites how do I get them. PS I modeled almost everything on wilshire and rodeo drive only in ny including fashion when much younger. had an exclusive contract for a year each with two of them. invite me? how?
