Victoria Beckham is Marc Jacobs' new muse

There's something weird about Marc Jacobs choosing Victoria Beckham to star in an upcoming advertising campaign for his spring 2008 collection. Apparently, the ads have already been shot in Los Angeles, so there's no changing his mind. :)
It's a brave choice for Jacobs, who is likely to sacrifice some of his street cred by teaming up with Beckham, the quintessential, albeit delightfully charming and down-to-earth, Soccer Wife.
When I told a few friends about this, the responses were varied. Clint Catalyst, a striking writer, said "why not?", and praised her recent "Ugly Betty" appearance. Fashion designer Brian Lichtenberg (who just collaborated with Grey Ant on a resort collection) let out a confused "eh??"
I am reserving judgment until I see the ads. Posh did, after all, look gorgeous at the recent Victoria's Secret show.

VB pretty much starves herself, admits to never taking a bite out of a cookie, not even a tiny one. She looks like a stick-figure with red lips painted on. In my opinion, Marc Jacobs has made a mistake by selecting her as the star of his new ad campaign. Having said that, she will undoubtedly get him the attention he craves; allthewhile just imagine her craving for a mere bite of something sweet.

She is an overated skinny bint who is no style icon, more an unimaginative follower of fashion. MJ has made a big mistake in my opinion, but then I can't afford his clothes anyway!!
