Lady fingers

Only syphilitic sailors, convicted rapists and nu metal drummers still think menacing "Love/Hate" knuckle tattoos are cool. Tattooed ladies with an of-the-moment sensibility are opting for softer, sweeter messages, as documented at Knuckle Tattoos.com, a website devoted entirely to the evolution of this storied body art. On the site, tatted ladies send in photos of themselves and their pretty fists, describing the inspiration behind the designs.
One girl got the words "Free Hugs" tattooed on her knuckles after buying a "Free Hugs" hat and t-shirt at a theme park. "Tons of people kept running up to me asking for hugs and it was so exciting," she says. "So I decided to get 'free hugs' tattooed on my knuckles as a kind of permanent symbol, since I can’t always wear my hat or shirt."
Another got "Knit Purl" inked on her joints because "my hands were made to make crafts...this is my tribute to the craft."
Another opted for “kindness” because it is a "really good reminder to me of what I want my hands and my actions to accomplish."
