Giveaway--blue charmeuse dress by Lisa Michelle Collection

You've been cruising the waves on your long board all day in your eco-friendly Patagonia wetsuit, but that doesn't mean you don't know how to dress it up after sunset. Surf sirens—and their landlubbing counterparts—would do well to invest in a playful number from the newly-launched Lisa Michelle Collection.

The brainchild of L.A.-based up-and-comer Lisa Felsenthal (who has designed for Rozae Nichols and Monique Lhuillier, and who interned for Michelle Mason and Jeremy Scott while training) the flirty, feminine line features light, beautiful European fabrics and trims, perfect for the urban sophisticate who doesn't take herself too seriously.

We have a blue silk charmeause Lisa Michelle Collection evening dress (retail value $650) to give away to one Stylephile reader (we can accomodate most regular sizes). To win, simply tell us this: what's going to be your style essential this summer? Leave your answers in the comments section of this post. Deadline is 5PM, Monday June 23rd.

Nothing beats the satisfaction of walking into a high-end boutique with purpose and intent of actually buying something so expensive and indulgent. I was smiling at the shopping bag containing my new “it” purse of the season, sitting on the passenger seat of my car as I was filling up at the corner gas station near my home. My momentary bliss was interrupted as I pulled my eyes from my bag and onto how much I charged up for ONE tank of gas. Everything that happened afterwards I partially blame on sheer panic and subconscious programming from earth days gone by. Before I fully knew exactly what I was doing I jetted back to the mall and returned the purse and with the same urgency drove to a specialty bike shop and bought one brand new pink and black ten speeder. I reasoned I could burn some of that winter flab, do my part for the environment and with the amount of cash I’ll save on gas I’ll be able to afford that purse in no time. Maybe by then it won’t be so hip anymore but now it’s apparent that conservation will style for a while dahling! tappoutchick@yahoo.com

My summer essential, is definitely a pair of chic, classic sunglasses that go with everything. Gotta protect those eyes from the UV rays and those great sunglasses are my favourite way to accent great summer outfits! emerald.cut.diamond@gmail.com

My style essential this summer is a good pair of shorts! and sunscreen! It's all about casual.

Because I live in Phoenix (weather currently 113 degrees), I've got to stay as cool as possible. I'm all about long cotton dresses this summer. I have found my favorites at Target! Coupled with some very strong sunscreen and huge sunglasses, they are the best way to look great even in ridiculously hot weather.

The Hottest Body By Victoria™ Active Body Lift Treatment is the best skin toner I've used. No better way to show off the bod! ksrhinehart@yahoo.com

Hybrid! Everything Hybrid! From head to foot. Summer is about celebration. Summer is about making a statement. About a renewal of health and well-being. About a look and feel. Sensual and sultry. And why hybrid? Because my summer style is about responsibly mixing and matching. I blend 2 different products for my face and body: sunscreen and bronzer. I mix and match my clothing with an underlying black and white motif with swatches of brilliant vibrant summer colors. Fabrics as well... organic cottons and linens are a must. It's about mixing and matching designer and non-designer apparel. About making my own look - so when they see me at the beach or at the pool or at the party; they know it summer ... and they know it's me. Alexis@Daniels.net

My essential this summer will be my A|X sunglasses and facial sunscreen. My moods will change and so will the selection of my clothing from day to day. But my sunglasses will look hot regardless of my random choices. katzy1@gmail.com

My style essential for the summer is Colcci Ts. T-shirts rarely make me look hot, but I got a head start on summer at Jazz Fest in New Orleans in May, and I credit my Colccis for a great time with my "fest bud". They will certainly be key to my summer fun as well.

This summer my essentials will be pair of running shoes, good exercise clothes, sunscreen and Gatorade. I will be participating in Malibu triathlon in September and I have to train very hard this summer. This is my first time participating in a relay so when I am not working I will be training. I am looking forward to Sep 14th. ancientfutures2001@yahoo.com

With my 10 month old daughter in tow, my summer wardrobe needs to be comfortable, washable and no ironing required. Linen pants, lightweight jeans, or skirts with blousy tanks and wash and wear hair are my staples. I am also totally into my new Fit Flops, I have them in black and bronze and wear them every day, they provide great support and comfort and I can long stroller walks in them.

With a busy four year old mini me to keep up with, I like to be stylish yet comfortable. My #1 style essential is a great pair of summer sandals. In addition, my musts are lip gloss, great earrings and stylish sunglasses. LOVE the dress! splash41@yahoo.com

Posted by HotMama | Jun 17 2008 12:05PM

My style essential is going to be dresses in bold colors. I love the ease of jersey dresses, and will be wearing them in bright colors to celebrate the season.

Posted by Jen | Jun 17 2008 11:57AM

My style essential this year is filled with lots of black, white and tan casual to dressy-casual tops and bottoms with wide belts and accents of red, silver and gold jewelry. Day to day I have to wear a lot of pants because I have to wear a (as my daughter puts it) grotesque ankle brace to treat tendonitis. But, for special events this lovely, sensuous Lisa Michelle blue silk charmeuse dress would have me kicking up my heels (although somewhat gently on my one ankle). Plus, blue goes so well with my eyes.

Posted by prin | Jun 17 2008 11:55AM

My summer style will consist of many flowly and colorful dresses. Of course they're be paired with the most gorgeous sandals and big colorful bags. Great attire to hit the beach in last minute and easy to slip off to work on that most perfect California tan others anticipate us having! But can't forget the SPF with the tan - nothing worse then a major burn....

Posted by Mer2628 | Jun 17 2008 11:23AM

During most of the year, I embrace my inner tomboy. However when it starts getting hot, I cling to my girly-girl side like there's no tomorrow. It's a time of perpetual skirts and dresses for me, since I'm one of those girls who think they look silly in shorts (but seriously ladies, what is UP with women's shorts??). To go with this, I'd say some comfy sandals, a giant tote (for stashing snacks, water, trashy summer novels, etc.), my spray-on sunscreen (great for fighting driver's tan), my portable grill and a good mexican beer. Ahhh, summer! dana_what@yahoo.com

This Summer it is all about style and change!Keeping my husband excited to see me by wearing dresses like this!A glowing tan,a toned figure and updates on whats hip.

Posted by Gina L. | Jun 17 2008 11:13AM

In order for the wardrobe and cute shoes to look good my must-have is a great SPF, especailly one like Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF 55. I embrace my tanless skin and punch up summer with colorful bags, shoes and dresses, not red sunburns!

Variety will be my "style essential"...my company is about to launch a new product and with that will come seminars and promotion. So as much as I'd like to be kicking back in a tank and shorts, I'll be looking for a way to be professional yet comfortable in LA's summer heat during the day and a way to bring that throught to my eveningwear. Classic, comfy, casual with a splash of style.

Posted by KristinaH | Jun 17 2008 11:00AM

My summer essentials... rock concerts, sangria, metallic sandals (saw a great pair from Stuart Weitzman at Saks 5th Off -w/ a rhinestone star at the toe!), Frontline for my dog (to keep the fleas away), taking a personal day (just to lie on the sand), riding my beach cruiser w/ my daughter around Seal, tanks, Bath & Body Grapefruit Shimmering Lotion, magazine reading, eating outdoors, Dog Beach at Huntington, walks at dusk, super-spicy salsa and chips...

Posted by roxfox | Jun 17 2008 10:57AM

My summer essential is "less." I use a lot less of everything in the summer from clothing to makeup, but my favorite thing to use less of is the hair dryer. I love that my wavy hair can do its thing and fall into the realm of "stylish" in the summer months! snow_razz @yahoo.com

A super-colorful, super-long empire dress and a huge cotton canvas bag. You never know when you'll wind up at the beach!

Posted by A. Nicole | Jun 17 2008 10:51AM

The style essential that I will find this summer will come from within: feeling good. I quit smoking years ago when I met a good man who was sans cigs. I've caved in to the office sweets and lack of gym time for years now, but I know that if I can quit smoking, I can make healthy eating and exercise a way of life too. That lifestyle will blossom into feeling good about clothesstyle.

Posted by sarah | Jun 17 2008 10:48AM

Summer style 2008 will be three things for me: silk, backless, and an uneven tan. (Nothing says "I don''t sun worship" like an uneven tan!)

Posted by Christiana | Jun 17 2008 10:40AM

Summer essential-- bronzer from Dior! Gives that subtle glow without the need for dangerous sun or smelly fake tan...
