Mrs. Weinstein?
The Stylephile hesitated to post about this unfortunate WireImage blunder because it was corrected with another captioned photo within 24 hours. Still, it's interesting to note that well known and respected fashion designer Georgina Chapman was misidentified at the haute couture shows in Paris as simply "wife" of Harvey Weinstein. They are not married, natch. And we don't care to comment on that at all. But imagine the injustice of being referred to as Mrs. Harvey Weinstein on your own turf. Probably makes you want to take those shearing scissors to someone's extremities, eh? 
Then again, Weinstein's recent purchase of the Halston label has probably upped his rue cred at the shows. We're not crazy about his baggy pants and the long jacket makes him look a bit rectagular--but we love the fact that Chapman, who looks quite smashing, hasn't made him over into a fop. We recommend that Weinstein find sartorial inspiration in his own celluloid canon ("Reservoir Dogs," right.) A skinny tie and pegged pant would suit him much better. The sunglasses would be too much, as Karl Lagerfeld owns that look already. July 6, 2007 in FASHION | Permalink
