Red carpet fashions, Brit-style
Red carpet fashions can be frustrating to critique, with Actresses/Models/Whatevers often drawing from the same bag of camera-ready tricks, time after time. Not so in London, where arrivals at the London Fashion Awards delighted us with their freshness and originality.Pop star Lily Allen was cute as a Sugar Plum Fairy in her strapless baby pink corseted cabaret dress.
Model Agyness Deyn looked like a younger, friendlier version of Brigitte Nielson in sheer black haute couture.
Dame Vivienne Westwood looked like an electrified punk rock granny. A glammed-up Kelly Osbourne reminded us of a young, super curvaceous Liz Taylor. And model Erin O'Coner pulled a Medusa in her diaphanous, serpent covered silk gown. Sssssexy. 
(For those of you who are interested, Stella McCartney won "Designer of the Year" this year, following in the footsteps of previous winners Hussein Chalayan, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.)
