Treo on Speed
Palm has amped up the smartphone with its about-to-be-released Treo 700p version. The handheld maker has basically taken its Treo 650 smartphone—with phone, email, organizer, web access, messaging, integrated BlueTooth wireless technology, and multimedia capabilities—and given it broadband-like speed (via EvDO, boasting average download speeds of 400kbps-600kbps), plus additional memory (60MB of a total 128MB dedicated to user storage) and power (improved camera and hi-res images, Documents to Go version 8.0, PocketTunes now included). $399, palm.com
