Sonic boom
OK, OK, so the boombox revival's pretty played out already. But I can't help but have a crush on Paul Smith's Sugarhill Gang-inspired laptop case. It makes a great gift for friends and relatives who take their jobs too seriously. Since most humans store music in their iTunes thesedays, the design is zeitgeistally à propos. And it'll make a great conversation starter on plane trips, especially if combined with a sheet of cardboard, Afrika Bambaataa's "Planet Rock", and some in-flight pop-locking.$425. Buy here.
