Bittar’s Sweet Sale (NYC)
As sad as the closing of the Pop Shop was, at least the space is still being put to good use: Jewelry design phenom Alexis Bittar will hold a sample sale there, taking more than half off collections from the last two years. On Friday (noon-8 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.-6 p.m.), scoop up handcarved bangles and semiprecious earrings for $25-$90 (originally $75-$200), Lucite flower pins for $65-$175 (originally $175-$500) and much more. Be sure to stop at the ATM, as this is a cash-only affair. 292 Lafayette St.
