All that jazz
I'm going to be meeting with Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch after his show at New York Fashion Week on Saturday, and I may well ask him about these shoes, the result of his latest collaboration with the ever-awesome Melissa shoe company. Melissa, also born in Brazil, specializes in making jelly shoes that blow through your expectations of what a jelly shoe should be. I recently noted their collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, and now I am pleased to bring you these shiny wing-tip shoes, taken from Melissa's upcoming Winter 2008 collection. Jazzy, chic and comfortable, these women's flats bring a refreshing splash of androgyny to the otherwise gaudy realm of not-so-cheap plastic footwear.
