Slimmed-down Lily Allen
Songstress Lily Allen looked sweet as could be at the Chanel pre-Autumn/Winter show in London, having lost around 20lbs in six weeks after doctors ordered her to slim down (Allen has a heart murmur). We can only imagine what it must be like being an average-sized woman traveling in Karl Lagerfeld's otherwise-malnourished circles. Bravo to Lagerfeld for finding a muse in Allen, whose body shape and sass ordinary women can actually relate to.I met Allen about 18 months ago, backstage following her show at the Troubadour in LA. She was wearing a black Chanel cocktail dress and some gorgeous accessories. When I asked her where she had picked them up she admitted not knowing--her assistant had gotten them for her in New York. Orlando Bloom was backstage also, flirting outrageously with Ms Allen and playfully squeezing her boob at one point. My impression of her live performance was not favorable but she carried herself with a poise beyond her years. She's smart to explore possibilities within the world of fashion as well as music...
