H&M's next collaboration

Swedish low-cost fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz is staying close to home for its next collaboration, which will be with its Finnish neighbors, textile innovators Marimekko.

Fresh from its Cavalli for H&M launch, the business brains at H&M are now working on  licensing various prints from Marrimekko's archives, pulling distinctive designs from the 1950s through to the 1970's. As reported at WWD.com, the collection will hit stores in April 2008, with around 50 looks for men, women and children.

But why wait 'til April?

Marimekko's contemporary designs are just as original and engaging as their vintage patterns. Take a look at their bedspreads, shower curtains and umbrellas, which you can purchase right here. We love their beautiful fabrics and this elegant, enigmatic Amore dress.
