Non-cutesie basics for laidback infants

When Emmy-nominated actor Cameron Mathison isn't dancing with the stars or appearing on TV's "All Our Children", he's weighing in on the designs of his wife Vanessa's new children's clothing line, Kea + Joby. Vanessa, who became Mrs Mathison in 2002, started the modern basics line eight months ago. Now you can buy Kea + Joby yoga pants, leggings, t-shirts and hoodies in 150 stores nationwide.

Vanessa, who has two young children with Mathison, designed and marketed the line with her good friend and fellow mom Niccole Kroll. "When we first started shopping for our children, we quickly discovered that we couldn't find any kids' clothes that seemed to reflect their personalities: sophisticated, smart, but relaxed," she said. "What we did discover was that ducks and rabbits and ladybugs and frogs are cute sometimes, but are overwhelming in large numbers."

The collection, which features no ladybugs or rabbits whatsoever, is both affordable (nothing costs more than $40), and comfortable (meaning no snags, tags or zippers for little fingers to get caught in).

Oh, and did we mention it's super cute (in a non-cutesie way)?

Buy the line at Crib in Beverly Hills, and Petit Ami in the Pacific Palisades. In New York, you'll find it in Apple Seeds, Babesta and Homefront Kids.
