Lover’s Lane
They say necessity is the mother of invention. Well with all the new parents come designers popping up lately, the "mother" part certainly rings true. In the case of Katy Mimari, creator of chic baby accessory line Caden Lane, it was a rejection of gingham, lace and animal prints that spurred her genius. She started the company designing simple (and sensibly nylon) bowler, tote and messenger-style diaper bags with blue, pink or red polka dot interiors and solid trim. Now she’s launched her nursery line, which boasts everything from Bib and Burp sets and Hooded Towels to entire Crib sets, all in tastefully vibrant retro-polka dots, stripes and solids, with a consistent hint of chocolate brown.
