Like father, like son

Evan Yurman
, son of famed jeweler David Yurman (whose line is beloved by socialites across the nation, especially in Texas), has designed his own collection of baubles for the family firm.

Here's Evan, director of David Yurman Men's Jewelry, pictured with mini-human Ashley Olsen at a party celebrating his collection.

Held at the haunted Paramour Mansion in Los Angeles earlier this month, the bash was attended by hundreds of LA's younger hip-stars. They sipped bubbly and jived to the sounds of tie-wearing music men, The Bravery.

Plexiglass towers outside encased Yurman's diamond and ruby-encrusted bling, while above it all the ghost of former resident Daisy Canfield Danziger looked on. (Daisy, shown here with her husband, silent movie star Antonio Moreno, died in a tragic car accident in 1933.)

Yurman, FYI, is no dilettante—he has forged pieces for various designers including Nom de Guerre, As Four and Alife. He also custom-made a poison ring for Kate Moss, made from a 40-carat moonstone and a 60-carat onyx grasped by two tiger claws.

Poison rings, for the non Wiccan among you, have hinges that open and close, and were used  by terrible people to dump poison or aphrodisiacs into their victims' drinks, without their knowledge. We wonder who Kate had in mind when she bought hers?
