Giveaway: Delirius
Whether you're a hairdresser, maker of birthday cakes or sartorial provocateur—intelligent layering is always key. This is something the ladies behind fresh new New York label Delirius understand all too well. For their first collection, Delirius experiments with draping, layering and asymmetry to create a line that's edgy, yet still supremely wearable. Their Racer top for example (main picture), is an elegant tank with a softly-draped neckline from the front. But an overlay at the back adds extra dimension. Worn alone it's perfect for showing off your summer tan, thanks to open sides that show a little waist. For the more modest, it's gorgeous with a basic tank underneath and teamed with your favorite pair of jeans.
Delirius was founded by Belarus natives Iyra and Katya, who studied fashion at Parsons and FIT and remain based in Manhattan. This, their first collection, is focused on the fusion of ultra-soft feminine fabrics with unexpected trims and original silhouettes. "It's not about being casual or dressy, or day or night anymore," says the designer. "Rather, it is about beauty, comfort and attitude." Delirius is gifting one Stylephile reader a layered Racer Top (main picture), available in sizes Small through Large, with a retail value of $150. To win, leave a comment telling us about the last time you felt delirious. Best story wins! The deadline is Monday July 21 at 5PM, and don't forget to leave your email in the body of the comment.

I felt delirious when we I finally got to know that I'm pregnant, I'm having my first-born boy! The feeling is fantatic like I know I am carrying something important in my tummy and we have secrets only my baby and I could tell. :) mlcmateo@yahoo.comPosted by Laddie | Jul 21 2008 4:27AM
So utterly fun: Auction House scene: "... & The City: The Movie" - my Sweet Self in pedicured preferred placement - right behind 'The Girls'with an overhead load of flood-light highlighting my reaction shot! Big-screen delirius delirium. Yummy. [feslaw@aol.com]Posted by francie | Jul 20 2008 7:52PM
After working 18 hour days for 3 weeks straight (including weekends), I treated myself to a vacation. After traveling for 12 hours, I sprinted, exhausted, through the airport to my best friend, who I hadn't seen for years. Surreal. lmjubara@syr.eduPosted by Leah | Jul 17 2008 3:52PM
The man the clothes at times can admire not, and a naked body, but covered with an apron. Last desire of the favourite person was to see me washing utensils in one apron. For some reason men admires and this form of clothes raises!Posted by Zagadka | Jul 17 2008 8:04AM

Delirious as I was sitting on the roof of my apartment the week before I moved out reading Raymond Chandler noir crime novels watching the sun rise after a night of parties. artistikatz@yahoo.comPosted by l | Jul 15 2008 11:43PM
Two weeks ago, I watched as my home pregnancy test's second line showed up to make a +. I don't think I'll ever be able to describe the feeling. I think delirious comes pretty damn close. My hubby and I had been trying for only a couple of weeks! I am still reeling from the incident and feel a bit delirious (and nauseous) as I write this! I am a very happy first mommy to be!! daniellePosted by dani_1981@hotmail.com | Jul 15 2008 4:43PM
Delirious and irrational! There I was, attending the wedding of two close friends in Santorini, Greece. Beautiful setting, amazing food, flowing wine, the most romantic sunsets in the entire world, and my date proposes with one of the most extravagant diamond rings I have ever seen. I say yes.. sounds like I defined delirious that day! you can email me at aprilfournier@gmail.comPosted by April | Jul 15 2008 3:20PM
The last time i felt delirious was just a few mins ago when i got the snail mail and had a ton of bills looking at me in the face and no money to cover them. scarey feeling.Posted by MCJunkie | Jul 15 2008 1:40PM

The last time I felt delirious was when I visited Chicago for the 1st time and discovered the "Bean" sculpture. No steel sculpture should be able to excite any person to such extremes! For about an hour and a half I was giddily snapping photos from every angle, trying to capture my friends and I in various forms in the sculpture's reflections. We also twirled in a dervish, tried to freeze midair poses while jumping, and danced around the sculpture. Anish Kapoor (sculptor) would have been proud. Or terrified. The most recent delirious experience was sitting on the east bank of the Mississippi watching the son go down over the west bank. The snowy egrets below, the barge traffic, the mysterious currents and whirlpools in the river all contributed to this completely delicious, delirious feeling.Posted by Patricia | Jul 15 2008 12:48PM
Last time I was delirious was when my boyfriend refused to tidy the kitchen as promised and I lost my head in front of all his friends. Very domestic, what can I say... elafolycomer@gmail.comPosted by Ela | Jul 15 2008 12:47PM
