The $200,000 Bombay Sapphire bottle

Sound steep? Well, it was designed by New York design superstar Karim Rashid, which must mean it's worth every single penny. It sure is purty though, looking like a diamond teardrop, the kind I cry whenever I've had a little too much Bombay to drink. The handmade crystal bottle, individually decorated with sapphires and crystals, was unveiled in London last week. Only five of the “Revelation” crystal bottles, priced at US$200,000 each, have been made. Handcrafted in France by Baccarat, each one has a stopper decorated with sapphires and diamonds set by the oldest jewelry house in the world, Garrard. Which is great and all that—but where’s the gin?
