Warhol-Hirst-Levi's-wearable-art-pop-up-shop
If you dig Post-Millennial Catchwords, Provocative Art, and Jeans, then you're gonna love this one—a wearable art pop up shop featuring Damien Hirst denim for Levi's, inspired by Andy Warhol, and modeled by Vincent Gallo.
(Whew! Almost choked on my own hip there!)
The "Warhol Factory X Levi's X Damien Hirst" pop-up shop will pop up this Thursday at Fred Segal Man in Santa Monica. Two hitherto unseen Hirst works (more butterfly corpses, perhaps?) will be unveiled at the event, and we'll celebrate the release of an accompanying 224-page coffee table book, featuring essays and interviews by Steffie Nelson, with Vincent Gallo modeling the goods.
Damien Hirst collaborated with Levi's after coming across the original Warhol-inspired collaboration while shopping at Barney's...which totally backs up my theory that shopping is, indeed, one of the highest forms of meditation in the world.

The launch event takes place Thursday, April 3rd, 2008, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, at Fred Segal Man Santa Monica, 420 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
