Last night at Little Dom's

Living in L.A., you become accustomed to regular celebrity interaction. My friend once asked Vincent Gallo to serve her a hotdog outside Home Depot (she didn't realize who he was, "he was standing by the hotdog stand, he had a beard" she protested). A nameless star of the 1980s once invited me to take magic mushrooms and have a threesome with his wife. (I didn't go there). And a few years ago, I spent my birthday with Def Leppard. All run of the mill, regular La-La land kind of stuff.
But last night at Little Dom's restaurant, even jaded Angelenos like myself couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the random Monday night star-power strolling through the door. Little Dom's recently opened in the Los Feliz neighborhood of L.A., the Eastside outpost of Dominick's restaurant in West Hollywood. It's a cozy little spot, serving upscale Italian fare. Not the kind of place that screams red carpet. So I was only mildly surprised to spot Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, waiting to be seated with some friends. Then in sashayed Kelly Lynch, blonde and eternally beautiful, with her equally long-haired beau Mitch Glazer. "Hmm," I thought. "It's getting hot in here." Then not five minutes later, in walks Christina Ricci. "This is getting ridiculous," I whispered to my friend. "I know," she said nodding over to the corner, where Orlando Bloom was hanging out.
With that much eye-candy, the great food was just a bonus. Long live L.A.
