The Itsy Bitsy Spider Goes High Fashion
Those shiny, happy baubles overflowing most womens jewelry counters arent exactly your cup of tea, but this dark and moody spider necklace fits your Edward Gorey-esque aesthetic just right? Created by activist-writer-actor Waris Ahluwalia (he was the underwater cameraman in The Life Aquatic) and designer Benjamin Cho, the intricate, handcrafted piece is part of a slightly disturbing silver collection (think skeletal chokers and molar cuff links) made exclusively for fashion-forward online boutique yoox.com. Its a little pricey at $638, but, hey, its far more distinct than most things youll find at Fred Segal.
